Talk Of The Town Party 208

Hello friends, we are unthawing here in the former coldest place on the planet! That was a long seven-day deep freeze that I don't care to repeat anytime soon. Bring on the DIY 💝inspiration and recipes. I've been off refined sugar since the Fall so no chocolate or treats for me. Instead, I'll drool over your decadent recipe links.

Welcome back to a new week of Talk of the Town!

  2. Glad things are warming up in your neck of the woods... I'm sitting in my wee living room with a jacket on, wondering why the heater is not clicking on. Off to check... Thanks for hosting, Marie!

  4. Kudos to you on no refined sugar Marie! I went for 4 years without one single cheat on refined sugar, and no sugar of any kind, not even natural like honey or even fruit when I was very ill. It was a huge part of my recovery from chronic illness. I have had some sugar in the last two years but not a lot, and I mostly use coconut sugar for baking which is wonderful, lower glycemic index.

    Thanks for hosting!

    1. Amber, I can't believe how much better I feel since removing it from my diet. The inflammation that was going on in my body has gone away and I honestly feel 10 years younger. The weight loss has been slow but steady and I have zero cravings for sugar. Wish I had done this years ago!
