She's a beauty!

HOT OFF THE WORK BENCH

I wish this sofa table was mine! It arrived with water damage on the top, some cracks along the edge, and a couple of wobbly legs but her beauty lies within the details. Talk about a nice set of legs!

Here she is close up...

The top being a veneer, I carefully sanded it to remove scratches and water damage with a mouse sander using a fine grit sandpaper. I used Dynamic Dyna Patch to fill in scratches, cracks, and to level the top. After tightening the screws to solidify the legs, she was good as new!

Because the table wasn't of solid wood construction, to ensure a good bond with the milk paint I applied a light coat of shellac over the entire table. It was painted with a couple of coats of Homestead House Milk Paint in Fort York Red and protected with clear wax and antiqued with dark wax.

This is what it looked like before I started.

My sister is lucky owner of this beautiful table and I'm so jealous!
